Why is Scientific and Technological Research and Innovation considered a third-rate profession in the Muslim World? Ever wondered What We Can do about it?
The Muslim Scientists, Technologists, and Innovators’ Network (Muslim-Science) is a mailing list of Muslim Scientists, Engineers, and Innovators as well as Graduate Students from around the world joined together with a desire to support scientific and technological research and innovation across the Muslim World by:
- Helping identify Research Opportunities, Fellowships, Funding etc.
- Collaborating and building professional communities;
- Developing linkages between Expatriate Researchers and those working within Muslim countries;
- Routing Research $s from developed world to Muslim countries; and
- Carrying out a dialogue between scientists and innovators from within the Muslim World and beyond about the state of science and technology in the Muslim countries and how might it be improved;
The group is carefully moderated. Strong standards of professionalism, relevance and usefulness is desired. Membership is restricted to Muslim Scientists, Engineers, and Innovators associated with the scientific enterprise and academia i.e. holding PhDs, MPhils, and Masters engaged in scientific and technological research, innovation, and scholarship. The group moderators reserve the right to deny membership to any individual, expel an individual on substantive grounds, or edit posts to ensure quality of content and interaction. Please feel free to tell your colleagues in research and academia about this resource. Join us and convince other eligible individuals to join too.
